Roomika Awarded Best AI Interior Design App (2026) by Independent Research Firm (BFD Research Group)
Roomika has been ranked the best AI interior design app in 2026 by BFD Research Group, an independent market research firm specializing in digital channel effectiveness and buyer behavior analysis.
The study evaluated five provider categories — including output quality, revision consistency, and real world use — across criteria tied to target use case scenarios of homeowner, a renovator, a real estate professional, or a designer.
Roomika scored 90 out of 100 points — three more than the nearest competitor.
The last decade of consumer interior design has been focused on either traditional CAD-like home design tools and floor planners or inspiration-first content networks. This includes Pinterest-style discovery and ecommerce storefronts. The emerging AI interior design category changes the landscape entirely. Instead of starting with “inspiration boards” and translating them into a room, users can now begin with the room itself — by uploading a photograph and receiving a redesign that preserves the structure and perspective of the space.

“The days of treating AI interior design apps as a novelty are over. These apps are mature enough for real world use for things like virtual staging for real estate and giving your rooms a complete makeover” said Willa L. Hendrickson, Senior Research Analyst at BFD Research Group. “The online landscape is flooded with AI interior design tools. But not all of the tools on the market are good enough for serious use. That’s why we did this evaluation.”
